"26.2 Miles of Black Hills Beauty!"

Deadwood Mickelson Trail Marathon
June 8, 2008

A word from the Race Director: There are a lot of marathons out there laying claim to be “most scenic,” and all of them have legitimate reasons for such a claim. None of them, however, are run through the sacred land of the Lakota Sioux, and finish at a town that is an Historic Landmark... that’s right, the entire town of Deadwood, South Dakota is part of our authentic American heritage. Might I also mention the close proximity of Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse Monument, Devil’s Tower and numerous other attractions. All race directors think they have something special to offer you, and I am no different. My calling card is the awesome beauty of God’s magnificent creation, and a piece of Americana, all on the same day, in the same place. COME RUN WITH US... MAKE A LIFELONG MEMORY! - Jerry Dunn
